Even Vémola couldn’t do that. KSW delivered a fight between two men who fought in the Octagon. The Terminator’s challenger fell
KSW has had a tournament number 80, hosted by the city of Lubin, and the main preliminary match featured two men we may remember from the Octagon. One measured his strength with Karlos Vemola, the other defeated Daniel Shkvor.
KSW has had a tournament number 80, hosted by the city of Lubin and the main preliminary match featured two men we may remember from the Octagon. One measured his strength with Karlos Vemola, the other defeated Daniel Shkvor.
The Polish organization held another gala on Friday and one of the main draws of the whole evening was provided by two former Oktagon fighters. Namely Luis Henrique da Silva, who you may remember as Frankenstein, and Oumar Sy.
The former is a UFC veteran, among other things, and it wasn’t too long ago that we wrote about him in connection with the exhibition knockout he delivered at the KSW tournament. He’s scored two fights in the Czechoslovakian organization in 2019.
First, he easily outclassed Jan Gottvald, who he stopped in the first round, and then he challenged Karlos Vemola and got the fight. That fight was one-sided, though, with Terminator throwing him to the ground at will, where he tormented him for three rounds to win on points.
The latter has only had one fight in the Octagon, defeating Daniel Skvor by rear-naked choke in late 2020.
Both fighters are perceived as very good fighters in Poland, they are among the top welterweights, so it was downright suggested that they fight each other. But the fight didn’t last long. In fact, at 1:40 of the first round Sy managed to choke Frankenstein out.
the 27-year-old French fighter improved his record to 8-0, winning for the third time in KSW. The 33 year old Brazilian scored his first loss in KSW, making it 19-9.
Sy is a really interesting fighter who could have a very bright future ahead of him. KSW knows very well about his qualities and intends to make good use of them.
