Nikola Jokic once again contributed a great performance to the defeat of his favorite opponent

In the game Denver Nuggets vs New Orleans Pelicans (125:113), the double NBA MVP Nikola Jokic was the biggest contributor to the home team’s victory. He recorded his 12th triple-double of the season and leads the NBA in this statistic ahead of Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings.

Jokić scored 27 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 14 assists to his teammates. Overall, he recorded the 117th triple-double of his career and is slowly pulling down the third man on the historical charts, the legendary Magic Jognson, who recorded 21 more.

The fact that Jokic recorded his tenth such feat against the Pelicans, which is clearly the most against any NBA team, shows that he is a popular opponent. Zion Williamson had 30 points for New Orleans, but no one else on the team supported him. Denver was also supported by 20 points from Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

Curry and Thompson contributed to the Bulls’ defeat

The Chicago Bulls vs. Golden State Warriors (131 to 140) offered quite an offensive spectacle on both sides. Until halftime, the scores were pouring in on both sides. However, the Warriors decided the game in the third quarter, which they dominated (48:20).

The Bulls team was led by three players DeMar DeRozan who scored 39 points supported by Zach Lavin and Coby White who loaded the Warriors basket with 25 points each. On the ”Warriors” side, the pair of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry dominated, scoring 30 and 27 points respectively.

But above all, this duo produced 13 successful three-point shooting attempts. And for the first time in a while, the Warriors team has come back to life, as they are not doing too well so far this season with an 18-20 record still teetering on the edge of the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if this was just a short episode by Golden State or if this valuable win will jumpstart them to better performances.

Either way, a big test awaits them in their next game when they visit Milwaukee. A team that recently went through a small crisis, but is already among the best teams in the NBA. The key to success, however, will be to guard the huge Adetokunbo.
