With what goal is van Suijdam going to Gamechanger? I’m interested in being part of an organization as big as the Octagon, he said
After the announcement of the new face of Tipsport Gamechanger, many were tapping their foreheads wondering who Oktagon was bringing in. Melvin van Suijdam is a fourth tier fighter, yet many are calling him a killer. What ambitions does he come into the tournament with?
The experienced champion of the Dutch organization Level Fight League is not well-known in the country, moreover, he is only in the fourth hundred of the world rankings.
That’s why many wondered why he was coming. However, such Losene Keita, for example, spoke about his person with respect and confirmed his qualities.
“My life has always been all about sport. From the age of five to eighteen I did judo at a high level, then I switched to BJJ and grappling. When I was in my twenties, just for fun, I tried one MMA fight, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I wanted to be the best all-around fighter. I’ve also competed in boxing, kickboxing, karate or wrestling, I’ve just tried everything. After all, I’m a PE teacher at a primary school,” he introduced himself to the fans in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
However, he will have really tough competition in Gamechanger. He will be going up against the stars of the Octagon, which has a welterweight of really good quality.
So, with what goal can van Suijdam go into the tournament? “I haven’t thought about it yet. But I’m definitely interested in being part of such a big organization as Oktagon. It’s definitely an option for me,” he added.
