Will the Oktagon lose a star? KSW inquires about Kincl, whom it wants to have back in its ranks from the new year
Patrik Kincl is one of the biggest stars of the Oktagon MMA organization. Still, it is possible that he will end up there soon, as KSW is looking for him. Kincl has fought in the Polish organization in the past and if the offer is tempting, he has no reason to be against it.
Patrik Kincl is one of the biggest stars of the Oktagon MMA organization. Still, it is possible that he will end up there soon, as KSW is looking for him. Kincl has fought in the Polish organization in the past and if the offer is tempting, he has no reason to be against it.
The biggest star in the Oktagon MMA stable is undoubtedly Karlos Vémola. However, he is expected to retire next year and it is questionable whether someone will take his role.
Another fighter that fans love or hate is Patrik Kincl. He came into the organization in February of 2022. That’s when his fight with Vemola was pushed back and he beat Samuel Kristofic.
Kincl has also beaten Alex Lohoré and just Vemola in the Oktagon, but he is due to have the last fight of his contract in December. And as of yet, it appears there is no extension.
In fact, Kincl is being courted by KSW, where he wrestled before his move to the Oktagon. He won two of his three fights, falling short to Robert Soldic.
“We asked for clear information on when his contract ends. We want to be fair, we don’t want to deal with a fighter who has a valid contract, that’s why we are also setting tentative dates for now.
Patrik is always welcome with us, we have worked very well with him. I think one of the best trailers in our history is with Patrik Kincl, but yes, we will come back to further negotiations,” said KSW sport director Wojsław Rysiewski after the tournament in Trinec.
So the decision is entirely up to Kinclo, who is in a really advantageous position. He can push the Oktagon through the trilogy with Vemola, he also knows KSW management well and knows what he can afford. But we’ll have to wait a while for a decision.
