Will the Kincl vs. Vémola fight ever take place? It will never have the same weight, it will only be interesting financially for both fighters
Comment: The MMA scene was looking forward to the biggest, or at least the most watched fight of the year. Patrik Kincl was doing his best to get the coveted rematch. However, Karlos Vémola ended up in the hospital less than a month before the fight and the bout would not take place. Will he ever in the future carry the same weight he was supposed to carry now?

However, Karlos Vémola ended up in the hospital less than a month before the fight and the bout would not take place. Will he ever in the future carry the same weight he was supposed to carry now?
Patrik Kinzl’s fears have come true and Karlos Vémola will indeed not be able to make the fight. According to the words of the Terminator, his health situation was indeed very serious and even life-threatening.
So the cancellation of the match is completely understandable, but it is a big inconvenience for everyone. Joy is certainly not for Octagon, which will lose a great fight that was selling great. And the fighters are certainly not happy either.
While Vemola didn’t care much for the rematch, he could have silenced his critics in the fight, as Kincl would have been a real challenge for him. The biggest in years. Plus, he was looking forward to a huge payday, the biggest of his career.
Kincl, for a change, did everything he could for the rematch. He didn’t even believe in it anymore, but at the end of the year he could see it coming. But as we already know, that’s not going to happen. At least not this year.
Will Kincl vs. Vémola ever happen?
With the cancellation of the fight, there is naturally speculation as to when it might actually happen. But then we run into several problems, starting with the Oktagon schedule.
But then there are other hooks. One of them, for example, is Kinclo’s motivation. He’s had a huge one now, with a lot of money, energy and strength invested in his preparation. And there will be no fight. So even if it was, there would be a lot of talk that it wasn’t a full fight, as Karlos Vemola was plagued by injuries and Kincl struggled with doubts about whether the fight would happen.
Kincl appears to be at the top of his form. Then, as Vémola gets older, his disastrous approach to recovery and overloading his entire body, which is constantly under tremendous strain, is starting to catch up with his health.
If the Olomouc native does not start treating his body differently after his recovery, every upcoming match will be in jeopardy. And that’s exactly why Kincl will struggle with motivation every time he gets the chance to play. Not to mention that if he wins the fight, quite possibly the win will be thrown down through Vemola’s age and the fact that his best days are behind him.
Currently, the fight has been well promoted. Kincl is the middleweight champion, Vemola the welterweight. He was a big weight. He’ll probably never get any bigger.
By not making the fight in December, he lost his momentum. The only incentive to make it happen sometime in the future will be money. But it’s questionable whether anyone will be interested in this duel in 2024.
Furthermore, Kincl may be chopping up his decision between a career at welterweight or middleweight because of Game Changer.
