Will he leave the Octagon for RFA? I’m a free fighter and I’m considering which path I will take, says Hosek

The biggest domestic organization Oktagon is still losing its fighters. The reason for this is the newly formed RFA, which offers better financial conditions to the fighters. David Hosek may be on his way out as well, as he has not signed a new contract with the organization yet and is still waiting.

David Hosek had his debut in 2018 under the XFN organization, but subsequently moved to the Octagon, where he fought 8 fights. His record is 6 wins, two losses and one draw.

His long involvement in the biggest Czech-Slovak organization is quite possibly over. The reason is the newly formed RFA organization, which offers significantly better financial conditions.

“I would like to thank OKTAGON MMA, Ondrej Novotny directly, for the great part of my career, which started especially in OKTAGON organization. Now I’m a free fighter and I’m considering which path I will take. I have more offers, I will decide soon and let you know,” Hošek wrote on his Instagram profile.

Hosek’s last fight was against Marcin Naruszczek, but the bout was stopped rather early in favor of the Czech fighter, which the Pole and his team disagreed with.

So Naruszczka wanted a rematch, but Hoszek wasn’t too keen on that. Why? “Marcin, I said how much money I wanted for a rematch with you and OKTAGON didn’t give me the money. And I’m not going to step in for such a small amount as I fought last time.

And I’m working out the terms of the contract with the organization. If we don’t agree on terms, a rematch won’t be possible, Hosek told MMA Shorties.

So even then, Hosek knew he wasn’t going to rush into a new contract. Thus, a rematch is unlikely to happen, as he is expected to either go under the wing of the RFA or go abroad after such a statement.
