Will Buchinger fight for a third belt? He’s a legend, I wouldn’t fight him, admits champion Kozma
Ivan Buchinger had perhaps the best game in the history of the organization, when Vojto Barborík was not able to keep up with him in the points total. The legendary Slovak wrestler holds belts in two weight classes and would like to add a third.
Ivan Buchinger had perhaps the best game in the history of the organization, when Vojto Barborík was not able to keep up with him in the points total. The legendary Slovak wrestler holds belts in two weight classes and would like to add a third.
The legendary Ivan Buchinger already holds two belts in the Octagon. He defeated Ronald Paradeiser in the lightweight title fight, and now Vojto Barborik is no match for him at featherweight.
And as they say that the appetite grows with the food, it is true for the two-time champion. After winning his first belt, he talked about the fact that he would potentially like to win three titles.
Now he owns two, he only has to fight his way to the third. Buchinger would like to challenge David Kozma for it at welterweight. He confirmed his desire immediately after the important win. And then at the press conference.
Kozma, the champion, would not defend the fight, but he has to take his turn. He revealed to MMA Shorties that another defense awaits him in December, when he will be challenged by the winner of Petr Knize vs. Kaik Brito.
Kozma would like to face Knize, as he has a score to settle with him. He lost to him on points in 2017 and would like to get back at him.
And what does he say about Buchinger? “The fact that Ivan wants 3 titles is crazy. He’s awfully small for a welter, but I would like a fight with him. He’s a legend and I’d love to have a green Buchinger on Sherdog. We’ll see how the Octagon figures it out,” the welterweight champion is clear.
