Why isn’t he friends with Vemola anymore? When a man does something you don’t like, you can’t excuse him, says Kincl
Patrik Kincl is about to make his debut in the biggest Czech-Slovak MMA organization Oktagon. It will be an interesting premiere, he will go straight for the title with Samuel Kristofich. His next opponent may be Karlos Vémola, with whom he used to be friends. Why is that no longer the case?

His Octagon debut is fast approaching. Patrik Kincl will go for the title for the second time in a row, his first attempt in the Polish KSW welterweight division failed, but after the move to the Octagon he might try the championship belt after all.
His opponent will be Samuel Krištofič and it will be a fight in the higher category, i.e. middleweight. If Kincl wins, his next opponent might be Karlos Vémola, but he wants to fight the Pirate after his comeback.
But Kincl will certainly wait for him, because the two are not in love with each other, but they were friends in the past. What has changed?
“Oh yeah, you can say we were friends, but even if you’re friends with someone and that person does something you don’t like, you can’t keep making excuses for them indefinitely, I think,” he said in the No Gloves interview.
In fact, most fighters, including Kinceloe, are bothered by the way Vémola shows off. In the past, he has claimed to be the number one contender in several weight classes.
“That was like the last straw. The disrespect towards other wrestlers affected me. I’m not saying I fought for everybody. I was fighting for myself. I made my way in the Welterweight division and that’s how it was all dropped,” he added.
So let’s hope a rematch between Kinceloe and Vemola happens sometime in the future. It would clearly be one of the most watched fights on the domestic scene in history.
