Italian Edoardo Reja is a 75-year-old coach who started coaching in the 1979-1980 season. Since then, he has practically been practicing the coaching profession without a break. His greatest coaching stints were at Naples and Lazio Rome.
As far as his national team career is concerned, Albania is his first team. Despite his wealth of experience, Reja has been picking up a huge amount of bad luck in the last two friendlies.
In the match against Wales (0: 0) he was heading for the ground when his own player Manaj fell on him. At Letná he fell again after contact with Vladimir Coufal. Watch how it happened!
The West Ham and Czech national team right back apologised for the second time after the game. “Once again I would like to apologize to the Albanian coach Edoardo Reja. I saw him at the last minute and didn’t have time to stop the movement,” Coufal tweeted.
West Ham fans of course backed their favourite player and stirred up a big discussion under the apology post, where they strongly supported the Czech midfielder.
Do you think Coufal really sent the Albania coach down by complete mistake or that there could have been even the slightest intention so far?
