One of the main matches of the OKTAGON 51 gala, ending a long-standing rivalry. Karlos Vemola and Samuel Krištofič finally face each other in the cage. The Terminator was the big favourite, but the Pirate was confident and ready to shock the O2 arena.
Although it wasn’t the main match of the night, it was definitely the most anticipated. Karlos Vemola said goodbye to the O2 arena, in his last fight in the biggest Czech arena he faced Pirate in a duel that had been a long time coming.
The Terminator wanted to face Patrik Kincl to complete the trilogy after he knocked out Langer in Bratislava, but the Inspector refused the fight, preferring to accept a duel with Vlast Čepo. However, he did not appear at the O2 Arena due to injury.
Instead, a duel that had been a long time coming took place. In fact, it was also the reason why Vemola came to the Octagon after the end in XFN, apart from the duel with Attila Vegh. But he always fell short for one reason or another, and that’s changed now.
Of course we are talking about the fight with the Pirate. Samuel Kristofič was a big underdog from the start. A lot of fans had condemned him to failure. But he was determined to shock everyone. And he did.
Vemola fell in the first round
Samuel Kristofič was written off, but that didn’t deter him. On the contrary. It was all the more motivation for him. He trained with Vlast Čepo and Attila Vegh. Karlos Vemola said he would be the first to finish Pirate on a submission, but he didn’t succeed.
Rather surprisingly, Terminator engaged Pirate in exchanges and stand-up exchanges from the start. He landed a few punches, but Kristofič has a hard chin, as he’s proven several times. It was no different now.
In addition, the Pirate landed well himself, sending the Terminator down at 1:48 of the first round. Thus, Vemola lost for the eighth time in his career and the score changes to 36-8. Kristofič scored the win of his life and improved his record to 17-6.
Vemola lay on the Oktagon floor for a long time after the knockout. Even when the result was announced, you could tell he was a little out of it. However, compared to his defeat to Kincl, he now accepted the loss and applauded the Pirate. Interestingly, Terminator made virtually no attempt and didn’t even get to attempt a takedown.
