There is nothing stopping the boxing match between Carlos Vemola and Marpo. Both fighters have officially weighed in and now fans can look forward to tonight’s staredown and Saturday’s fight. Friday morning’s weigh-ins, however, drew mixed reactions.
Karlos Vémola hasn’t fought in over a year. Not at all. And on Saturday, he’ll make a big comeback. In his last fight, he defeated Milan Datelinka but lost his middleweight title for not making the weight limit.
And there was a lot of uncertainty about making the weight before he fought rapper Marpe. Exactly 36 hours before the weigh-in, the Terminator revealed that he still had to lose 9 kilograms.
He gradually posted short videos on social networks, informing fans and the general public how he was actually doing. He was extremely struggling to lose 84 kilograms, he was going through hell.
However, when he reached the scales at 10:00 am on Friday, he met the required weight limit. But he didn’t look good at all. The weight loss had obviously affected him greatly. From the looks of it, Vmola was glad he made it to the scales on his own.
He was not able to do it before the fight with Cloverleaf, but now he was. And also, as already mentioned, compared to the last fight he made weight. When it came to the staredown, however, Vémola quickly “ran away” from it. Logically, he needs to replenish his fluids and nutrition.
Again, however, the question of whether there should be some sort of line established beyond which one should no longer go in the context of crashing in combat sports. Marpo was left astonished after Vemola’s departure. Clearly confident, he wanted to show the Terminator that he was in no way afraid of him.
