VIDEO: Oktagon delivered a brawl at staredown, the glasses on the nose of the opponent did not interfere with the German. The reason was the likes on Instagram. What did the fans say?

The Oktagon has a gala with number 53 in front of it. It returns to Oberhausen, Germany and promises attractive matches and a great program. However, the fun was already the day before the gala press conference. During the staredowns immediately afterwards, the two fighters who will step into the same cage together on Saturday got into it.

German stars will appear in the main role of Oktagon gala in Oberhausen. The title duel will be catered by the champion Katharina Dalisda, who believes she will finish the battle by the third round, and her challenger Eva Dourthe. The German scene is very much looking forward to the debut of Islam Dulatov.

One of the most interesting duels, however, will be between veteran Ivica Truscek and German rising star Cihad Akipa.

Trušček is a seasoned fighter, at 36 years old he is about to have his 82nd professional fight, holding a record of 42-39. Akipa is still more of a newcomer to MMA, having had 7 fights with a record of 6-1. His only defeat came in his debut in the Czechoslovakian organization. Otherwise, he has a stand-up background, he was also in the GLORY organization.

Moreover, it was Truszek and Akipa who provided the biggest excitement the day before the tournament. The Oktagon held a press conference again on Friday night, followed by staredowns. Throughout the press conference, the two went at each other hard, with the situation culminating in a brawl during the staredown.

The staredown was expected to be very intense, however, it came down to a brawl. Cihad Akipa didn’t even have a problem with Ivica Truscek wearing glasses on his nose. It would be a miracle if they survived such hard shells.

Meanwhile, the whole situation, by all accounts, arose only because the Croat had made light of some of the comments that were supposed to be directed at Nemec’s mother. In fact, they both confirmed it after the split.

The reactions of fans and fighters alike are interesting then. The Oktagon has come under fire from critics because of the conflict. Promoters often criticize Czech bizarre organisation Clash of the Stars (fights with influencers) because of what happens during press conferences or staredowns, among other things, and then the same thing happens under the hood of the biggest Czechoslovak MMA organization.

Of course, the organization doesn’t much influence what happens. However, many fans in the comments point out the imaginary hypocrisy. To make matters worse, they are bothered that despite being assaulted during staredown, the fight will still happen and the fighter may very well escape punishment.
