Vemola? Very poor performance! In boxing, I would have destroyed him, says the Pirate
The Oktagon Underground Tournament, the highlight of which was the duel between Carlos Vemola and Marpo, is over. But the last duel certainly didn’t impress, and so the winner, Vemola, is being challenged by a large number of people in the combat sports industry. Even the Pirate would have confidence in him. What did he say about him?
The Oktagon Underground Tournament, the highlight of which was the duel between Karlos Vemola and Marpo, is over. But the last duel certainly didn’t impress, and the winner, Vemola, is being challenged by a large number of people in the combat sports industry. Even the Pirate would have confidence in him. What did he say about him?
Karlos Vémola beat Otakar “Marpa” Petrina in boxing, whom he almost didn’t let go. Their fight was not very attractive and disappointed many fans.
Many mocked the fact that Vemola’s style was more like a kraul. Moreover, the fight was ended rather strangely by referee Jan Vrana. This referee had previously greatly influenced the fight between Pirát and Petrášek, as he never saw the Slovakian fighter win a round.
He complained a lot about him after the fight, almost everyone expected the fight to end with him winning. What did Pirat say about the fight between Vemola and Marpo?
“That ending was quite strange, he could have at least counted Marpa first. On the other hand, even though Marpo said how brutally prepared he was, he just stood there in the ropes and did nothing. At the same time, it was clear what style Vemola was going to fight him.
I just thought he’d be better prepared. It was a very poor performance on his part. I’m the one who would have destroyed Vemola in boxing,” he said on his YouTube channel.
Does this mean a challenge to their boxing match? That’s not likely to happen, at least not in the coming months. Vemola has a clear plan, the first being a win in Germany, then a title fight in the welterweight division.
After that he should rest for a while and then fight for the middleweight title against the winner of the Kincl – Lohoré duel. After that, a rematch with Attila Vegh should be on the cards.
