A few days ago, Oktagon pleased fans with the announcement that Patrik Kincl vs. Karlos Vémola 2 will take place. But on Wednesday, it was announced that Terminator would show up a month earlier at another tournament. What does his opponent say?
A few days ago, however, it was announced how the Octagon middleweight champion made his decision. He has chosen to close a long-standing chapter in his life and intends to defeat The Terminator in a rematch that was already scheduled to take place at the end of December.
But now a new date has been announced. The rematch is scheduled to take place at OKTAGON 43 in Prague’s O2 Arena on Saturday, May 25. But if some critics had doubts that the match would actually take place, they now have a reason.
Vémol’s health is simply unstable. After all, this was also shown in December. That’s why it was widely expected that he would do his best to make sure that the rematch with Kinceloe would go off without any problems and that he wouldn’t overload his body or risk any injuries.
But it wouldn’t be the Terminator if he didn’t crack the whip. One month before the rematch, he has to show the fans in Liberec. Isn’t that risky and risky? He probably didn’t think much of it.
What about Kincl? His post on social media speaks clearly. The photo, where he covered Vemola’s face with a clown emoticon, is a talking point.
“So, does anyone take him seriously anymore? That was a lot of bullshit about how I got the title on loan. How he’s gonna get it right away, etc. All underlined by a wonderful hospital interview with iSport. His Brno performance after my defence should have been more like this.
“When Octagon told me about this fight, I didn’t exactly jump for joy. Maybe Karel was counting on me twitching and going for the gamechanger, clearing the way for him to get my title shot. There’s a replacement opponent lined up for May, so I’ll tune my preparation more in that direction and then challenge the Brit,” Kincl said.
“Let the rematch run its course and the rematch will take place in court,” Kincl concluded his statement.
