Vémola talked about money in the Octagon. How did he react to Novotny’s words about his monthly salary?
Karlos Vémola was not lazy and on the first day of 2022 he delighted his fans with a live broadcast. In it, he talked about several topics, one of which was the OKTAGON 30 tournament, after which, at the press conference, promoter Ondřej Novotný responded to the claim that Terminator receives a monthly salary.
The Terminator intends to continue to indulge fans in 2022 with frequent streams in which he answers questions. He completed one on the first day of the new year.
He briefly commented on the OKTAGON 30 tournament, but talked more about what was happening at the press conference. Ondřej Novotný denied that Karlos Vémola should receive a monthly salary from the organization.
“Karlos doesn’t have a fixed monthly salary, he always has some desire to tell everything and if possible in a different way than it is. I respect that, but Karlos does not have a fixed monthly salary,” Novotný said at the press conference, smiling.
According to the promoter, the Oktagon organization helps Vémol with marketing, it is from the marketing rights that he is supposed to receive money every month, which is supposed to be “his would-be monthly salary”.
But the Terminator sees it differently. “I was disappointed that Ondra commented on it. There were unnecessary words. It was enough to say that I was paid monthly and not to go on about it. I don’t know what he’s afraid of. Maybe that other fighters will also want a monthly salary,” he began his statement.
Vemola also said that gradually fighters are heading in the same direction as other athletes. But the difference, he said, is that he believes wrestlers have to do more, and he was referring in particular to graduating.
“We all know that in the Octagon, everyone gets what they deserve. It’s not up to any big popping yet. Oktagon doesn’t overpay fighters like other organizations that have paid for it or are about to pay for it,” said the Olomouc native.
Finally, on the subject of Terminator, he said he thinks more fighters should receive a monthly salary. He also pointed out that he doesn’t have any sponsors from the Octagon, because they are provided by the team he has around him for a long time, and who support him even when he is injured.
