Vemola pisses off Attila, who responds. I’m your only motivation, you’re a teenager. Just live to see the rematch, says Végh
Karlos Vémola can’t get enough and is constantly making comments about someone else. There he insults Patrik Kinzl, elsewhere Attila Vegh. The former he has had it out with at a press conference and will probably meet him in the cage in May, the latter he can shoot it out with in the media. In fact, the Slovak legend reacted to the Terminator’s words.

In fact, the Slovak legend reacted to the Terminator’s words.
Vémola took on Végh
Sometimes the Terminator doesn’t see eye to eye and it looks like that. At Friday’s press conference he took on not only the participant and upcoming opponent Patrik Kinc, who was even criticised by Lela Vémola from the audience, but also Attila Végh.
Karlos Vémola was asked about the rematch with the Slovak legend. After all, some time has passed since it took place in November 2019. That moment, however, went down in the history of Czechoslovak MMA. The first Czech in the UFC fell after 127 minutes.
Moreover, the Czech fighter bit the loss hard. He wanted a rematch as soon as possible. But Végh hasn’t fought in MMA since. He has had some boxing exhibitions, for example with the aforementioned Kinclo, but otherwise he is more into business and training.
Vémola has had his eye on a rematch for a long time. He was always talking about it. But in recent months, he’s been trying to put Attila down. For example, in a commercial for Bageteria Boulevard. He doesn’t like the fact that Végh wants money for a fight that’s worth fighting for.
“I’ve long since gotten rid of the feeling that I have to have a rematch with Attila at any cost. Now it’s up to him. I keep hearing that he will only fight me if someone pays him well. Attila does a lot of things, he dances for money. But this is not a fight that’s all about money. I don’t want some surviving Attila. I want the hungry Attila that he was in the first fight, otherwise this rematch will give me nothing,” he told OKTAGON Time.
Vemola is afraid that if he wins against Vegh, who “does nothing, puts on weight, sits down and is not even able to drop down to welterweight,” his possible win will be devalued and not seen as relevant.
Besides, Terminator reports that he has plenty of other challenges ahead of him. He also noted that he has won the middleweight and welterweight titles since that fight, has had several injuries and surgeries, and is still working on himself.
Végh reacts to Vémola’s words
It’s quite possible that this is just a way on Karlos Vemola’s part to motivate Attila Végh in the right way. However, it was exactly his trashtalk that was the deciding factor before the first game. It went to the Slovakian legend and former Bellator champion’s head.
But in a way he didn’t expect. Végh started to work that much harder. As he said himself, he made himself a Neanderthal who suffered tremendously in preparation. He didn’t comment much on anything himself and let Vémol’s merry-go-round go round and round. To live his own life.
But then came the staredown before the match, and though the Terminator won’t admit it, something changed. The fans felt it, the promoters felt it, and it showed in the odds of victory. Attila suddenly wasn’t such an underdog.
The fight came and after 127 seconds, Vemola was down. He didn’t get a single takedown and took the loss hard. As mentioned, he wanted a rematch right away.
“He dreamed of the rematch for five years and now he’s making excuses that he doesn’t have that motivation anymore. But I know very well that Karlito has only one motivation in life. Me. He won‘t get into the UFC anymore,” Végh told Sport.sk.
In addition, Végh has been posting frequent videos from his training sessions in recent weeks. As he says himself, he got a new taste, he is in training, he will fight UFC veteran Eric Spicely in the first half of the year and as he says, he would be able to handle a rematch with Vemola at the end of the year.
“When Karlos says it’s a question for me, I confirm that I give the green light. I want the fight, I’ll take it. I’m going to give him the opportunity and now I’m just waiting for the announcement. Ijust ask him to live to see it at all because he has set himself a crazy goal,” Végh said.
“Karlito says I have to fight as much as he does. I had that adolescence at 23, when I had 13 fights a year. He’s having that puberty now,” Attila concluded the topic.
