Vémola or Čepo? Kincl has finally offered a comprehensive statement on both challenges!
Patrik Kincl received two game calls on Saturday. Vlasto Čepo and Karlos Vémola want to take the title from him, and the challenge from Terminator in particular was quite a surprise. The Inspector waited for a response, asking only for calm. Now, however, he has already made his comments at length.

Big things were happening in Bratislava on Saturday. Vlasto Čepo challenged the middleweight champion in the studio before the OKTAGON 47 gala, only to have the pitchfork thrown into his plans by Karlos Vémola. He knocked out Pavol Langer in 7 seconds and set a record.
To make matters worse, he forgot his words about never dropping down to middleweight again, which he said after Patrik Kincl beat him in May, and just challenged the Inspector again.
Vemola is also putting quite a bit of pressure on Kincl, but the middleweight king didn’t want to react rashly, he let it all play out in his head. He gave a statement only on Tuesday night on his YouTube channel.
“I was expecting something like this to happen. But when I saw Ondra Novotny’s statement, I still didn’t sleep well and I rolled over,” Kincl admits.
Kincl vs Čepo or Vémola? The champion answers
“Vlasto challenged me first. I have no problem with him, I think he deserves it. He’s a welterweight, four wins in a row. It seems fair to me to go into it and it’s definitely not an easy fight. He’s a disciplined fighter, he’s aware of his weaknesses and strengths and I’m sure he’ll work on it,” praised the Slovakian puncher Patrik Kincl.
“It may seem like an easier fight for me now, but I take it as a regular challenge. He’s a regular opponent for me, but so is Karel of course. We have an interesting history. I’ve got it all locked up inside me and when I heard about the challenge… I had a huge boost in my training after December for the last fight, but I don’t have that now. And honestly? I don’t want to do what he did. He made a beautiful pass on the smash, only for me to quote him in the final to say that he should get in line, that he doesn’t deserve me and that he has to do this and that,” Inspector added.
Ideally, the East Bohemian fighter would like someone who is ahead of him in the world rankings. But he doesn’t know if someone like that is even available, and he also thinks it would throw off the regularity of the Oktagon rankings.
On Monday, Kincl spoke with promoter Ondrej Novotny and had one question for him. If Karlos Vémola can actually make the drop to middleweight.
“After that fight, after he left the cage and left the arena, he said he was done with 84. That’s why I put it out of my mind. I’m tired of waiting since the spring for a fight date, then he wouldn’t make weight and I’m going to miss a fight and fight once a year? Idon’t want to do that,” Kincl let slip.
What will be the big word?
Patrik Kincl wanted to make it to three fights this year, and he’ll take the second one in December if everything works out. “Unfortunately, I’m not in as strong a position as Karel to call for a fight and be offered one,” he poked at the Terminator.
So what would propel him into completing the trilogy? “I’ve never had a single rematch in my life, now it would be a trilogy. The main thing when I would go into it would be money. I have a contract where I can’t move it. With Homeland, I would go by contract, but if I were to give someone a trilogy or a rematch, I’d want to get paid a lot better. I know Karel asked for a rocket for a rematch with me and got it. That would be a big word to the wanker,” admits the champion.
But he doesn’t want money to be his main motivation. He wants it to still be about the sport for him. That’s why he’s also looking for motivation for the trilogy to deliver a better performance than he did in May.
“That shouldn’t be a problem and that’s the good thing about it. I can put my hand up for that, you won’t see the same as you did in the spring. The ideal will be to let the beast off the leash and end the game before the limit,” he offers a dream scenario.
No decision has been made, but Kincl reassures fans that neither option is bad, whichever way it turns out. Now negotiations must take place.
