Vémola on the possible end of his career: ‘I don’t know what I would do. It’s one of the worst messages I could ever get in my life
Karlos Vémola is still recovering from an injury, his last game was in March and he is even facing the end of his career. What would he do if he could no longer play the sport he loves? The Czech MMA representative doesn’t even want to think about that.
Karlos Vémola is still recovering from an injury, his last game was in March and he is even facing the end of his career. What would he do if he could no longer play the sport he loves? The Czech MMA representative doesn’t even want to think about that.
Karlos Vémola has had four fights since his defeat to Attila Vegh, in which he has never had a problem winning. The last one was against Milan Datelinka, in March last year.
He subsequently headed for a planned operation, but then got injured, whereupon he probably neglected his rehabilitation and then his injury got much worse.
so not only did he miss the tournament at Štvanica, but also the Oktagon 30 in December, which was supposed to be the highlight of the year, but due to the excuses, he sort of summed up the coronavirus year.
Due to the seriousness of the injury, there is also a possibility that we won’t see Vemola fight again. But the Czech fighter absolutely does not admit this option.
“I don’t want to talk about it because it’s something I absolutely don’t admit. But the idea of waking up in the morning and not being able to train or go to the cage, it’s like asking: Can you imagine being in a wheelchair in the morning?
For me, it’s exactly the same thing. I’ve been training for 30 years, I’ve been doing the same thing for 30 years. If someone told me from one day to the next that I couldn’t, I couldn’t imagine it yet. It’s one of the worst messages I could ever get in my life. I have no idea what I would do or what direction I would take next. So I can’t imagine it,” he said on the Fight Cast One podcast .
