Karlos Vémola announced on Thursday night that he will not be able to fight Samuel Kristofich at the Oktagon 30 tournament. How did the Pirate react to this?
The Terminator broke down and will not be in a title fight with the Pirate at the end of the year. However, he did not forget to denigrate the Slovakian fighter when he spoke about his health condition.
In fact, earlier this week Samuel Kristofich said that he accepted his challenge that the winner of the match takes the loser’s salary, while on Sunday Karlos Vémola was supposed to send the results of his MRI to the Octagon, which were not good at all.
“Karlos didn’t owe anything to his reputation, he immediately poked at me and tried to defame me, but I got used to that. He said it got to me that he had sent the results of the MRI to the Octagon on Sunday and because of that I should have accepted the challenge. But I had no way of knowing,” the Pirate defends himself.
On the contrary, he is surprised that on Sunday, when Terminator was supposed to inform the organization about his condition, the Olomouc native himself and Oktagon posted a photo on social media saying that Vémola was ready for December 30.
Ondrej Novotny, promoter of Oktagon, then let it be known that the Pirate can still look forward to a great opponent. “It’s not official yet, but I can say that the opponent might be even better than Karlos. But it’s hard to judge.”
There is a lot of talk about whether Vémola will actually be able to put himself back together. The Terminator himself has expressed some doubts about continuing his career. Kristofich, however, wished him a speedy recovery.
“I hope our fight will still take place. It’s been hanging in the air for a long time and never came to fruition. When he comes back, I will be ready to fight him,” the Slovakian fighter ended his statement.
