Karlos Vemola’s career is over. The Czech MMA legend made the announcement after his fight with Patrik Kincl, saying that he has his last fights ahead of him. One of them is scheduled for October in Bratislava, where she will go for the welterweight title against Pavel Langer.

The other one is of course Attila Végh, with whom she plans to have the last fight of her career. But when will this fight take place? There has been speculation about a December O2 Arena date, but that’s not very likely.

More realistic is next summer, when we should see a football stadium. It’s still not clear which one, the chairman of the board of directors of Slavia has outlined that it should be in the summer in Eden, but Bratislava is more realistic.

And as Vémola himself has now admitted, if Attila is not available in December, he will look for an opponent so that he doesn’t have to take a longer break and is still in the game.

Only he and the promoters know what the possibilities are, but what is certain is that it will not be Michal Materla, who is injured for a long time.

“I said I will end my career with Attila Vegh. But before that fight happens, I want to be active because that’s the only reason I stay in shape afterwards. That’s the only reason I can keep working. If Attila Végh doesn’t fight at OKTAGON 51 on 29.12., I would like to fight someone else.

But it depends if they find me the kind of opponent I would like. I wanted to fight Materla, but unfortunately he is injured for a long time. So this fight won’t happen. After I fight Langer and Vegh, I don’t see anyone there that I want to fight and why I would want to put this on.

I’m in the gym several times a day, working hard and really sacrificing everything for this – time with my family and everybody. Then I should listen to the crap that I’m getting weak opponents? I’m able to make money nowadays and I can do other things. I can invest that time in my family. I guess I’ll be heading in that direction,” he told Max MMA.
