Vémola is after surgery and says: I hope Ondra Novotný will prepare a good opponent for me in Germany!
Karlos Vémola has had elective surgery. It is generally assumed that he should have his next games at the end of December, but he sees it differently and plans to return much earlier. What is his message to his fans?
Karlos Vémola has had elective surgery. It is generally assumed that he should have his next games at the end of December, but he sees it differently and plans to return much earlier. What is his message to his fans?
After a tough three-round fight, Karlos Vémola had to head into a planned surgery. He has already finished it and is slowly getting back into training.
When is his return planned? That’s the question, because the fighter himself has a different opinion than Oktagon promoter Ondrej Novotny. Terminator simply doesn’t want to wait long.
“I get asked a lot how I am after the surgery. I think I’m absolutely fine for a week after the operation. I’m walking without a brace. I have no swelling and I move my arm normally. The doctor told me to exercise sensationally, which for me means exercise immediately, but I didn’t want to rush it and underestimate it so I don’t get into trouble like I have a few times before.
I waited for the stitches to come out. I didn’t even want to run or do things like that in the heat so I wouldn’t sweat and get an infection. Starting Monday, we are slowly starting the rubber bands, stretching and running.
I also need to reduce the weight because it won’t do itself. I’m slowly getting back into training because I hope Ondra will prepare a good opponent for me in Germany,” he told Fight Live.
Karlos would so love to show up at the tournament, which is scheduled for October 15. But Novotny apparently won’t give in to his insistence and prefers to wait. So a middleweight title fight later in the year is more likely.
