Vemola is a master of clinching, Pirat is a bigger fighter, says Russian elite wrestler
Karlos Vémola still hasn’t backed down from his terms for the Pirates game. He will only back down if the winner takes the loser’s money as well. So there are several possible replacements in the game. Among them, Mikhail Ragozin. What does he say about the situation?
Karlos Vémola still hasn’t backed down from his terms for the Pirates game. He will only back down if the winner takes the loser’s money as well. So there are several possible replacements in play. Among them, Mikhail Ragozin. What does he say about the situation?
Karlos Vémola has absurd and almost nonsensical demands in the case of the fight with Samuel Kristofich. His conditions are quite unprecedented in the MMA world.
Thus, the Octagon has to look for a substitute if the Terminator really doesn’t turn up, or if one of the participants in the title fight gets injured. The name of Mikhail Ragozin, who has been linked to the fight with Vemola, is apparently in the pool.
In an interview with MMA Shorties, he revealed that he hasn’t received any concrete offer from the Octagon, but in his own words, he’s in shape and ready to jump into the middleweight division by the end of the year. He said he would like to experience the atmosphere that the fans in the Czech Republic and Slovakia can create.
“If the promoters offer me a fight with Pirate, I will definitely take it. Also because Karlos would have nowhere to go. Although, who knows. Karlos is a master at zigzagging. It’s a personal thing for me now. He said he’d beat me up, then broke down before the fight. When I challenged him, he didn’t even respond. He knows it would be tough and no easy money,” Ragozin expressed to MMA Shorties.
From what he’s heard, the Pirate is said to be a bigger fighter who isn’t afraid of a challenge: “ Maybe he’s yearning for a quality opponent himself. Then he could make a middleweight and welterweight championship fight. It would be great for the audience. We would make a nice title fight with Pirate. But it’s all up to the promoters.”
Ragozin is aware that the title fight will be held at the O2 Arena, where he would like to wrestle in front of a full house.
Ragozin’s fight with Viktor Peseta cannot be ruled out in the future. He says he can imagine a fight together. Peshta now holds the welterweight belt. According to the Russian fighter, the title is in the right hands.
