Vémola hinted at how much he will earn for the matches. In the Octagon, he agreed to a special condition
Karlos Vémola is undoubtedly the highest earning fighter at least within the Czechoslovak organizations. However, in the Octagon he not only earns good money, he also negotiated a special condition. What is it?
Karlos Vémola is undoubtedly the highest earning fighter at least within the Czechoslovak organizations. However, in the Octagon he not only earns good money, he also negotiated a special condition. What is it?
One thing everyone seems to repeat endlessly. Karlos Vémola has many fans, but just as many critics. You can love him or hate him, but no one should question his contribution to MMA in our country.
The Terminator is famous for simply knowing how to earn his keep. He’s constantly promoting himself, constantly being seen. That’s why he’s adequately compensated financially.
“We’re in the millions today, but it’s still not enough. I don’t know how it is for other guys, but it is for me. Walk makes millions for sure, I make millions for the games too. I’ve got a lot of offers now, even from the new RFA organization. It‘s nice, but I have a deal with the Octagon,” he told the YouTube channel Show Me Kara.
However, as he said himself, it’s not just about what he does in the cage, but also outside of it. He says he’s very lucky to have great and great partners. Beyond that, though, he has one thing that he says other fighters think little of.
“I made one condition with the Octagon. I was definitely the first in the Czech Republic to enforce this. I’m paid outside of fights, I’m paid monthly. There is not such a difference between us fighters and football players, hockey players. We train similarly, so I want to be paid monthly,” Vémola revealed.
Currently, he is very happy for that. He is injured and has not appeared in a single match since March. If he hadn’t enforced this condition, he wouldn’t have anything to finance his life now. When he fights, he says it’s just a bonus.
