Karlos Vémola is currently recovering from other health problems, but this does not prevent him from planning his future. Among other things, a rematch with Attila Vegh was planned for 2023, but it is questionable whether it will be held in time. Vémola has also made his plans known to his fans.
Karlos Vemola’s plans for 2023 were big. The Terminator believed that by that time he would already hold the middleweight championship belt and could continue his goals.
However, in late November he caught a severe inflammation, after which he had to call off his title fight with Patrik Kinclo. So now he is recovering and knows that he won’t be able to make all his plans.
In 2023 he will have to choose, but for that he needs to be healthy. The first step is clear, he would like to rob Patrik Kinclo of his belt, then he would like to defend it at welterweight.
In what order those fights will happen and whether they happen at all is currently in the stars. There is also speculation about a heavyweight fight, where Vemola would like to move up to for the jump.
However, that is currently a closed chapter. And last but not least, there’s something that fans would hate to miss out on. The rematch with Attila Vegh is supposed to be a foregone conclusion.
“It’s definitely a motivation for me. But I’ll leave it to Ondra to announce if he does or not. I want to go step by step. People ask me if I still have it in my head to get the heavyweight belt. I say no.
I had it in my head when I was on a roll and I could plan things. But now I have to get my health back together. Then I want to get the middleweight belt and then defend at welterweight with Pütz.
Czech vs. German Terminator, that’s the fight everyone wants to see. They’ve been talking about it for a long time. And thenwho knows if Attila has signed…” said Vémola during his Instagram posting.
So we can read this information to mean that the rematch should happen if everyone is healthy. Given the dates, the O2 arena at the end of the year seems the most likely, but we know how this tournament has been the last few years. Nothing is certain until both fighters are in the cage.
