Patrik Kincl dominated Oktagon 35
Patrik Kincl is the king of Oktagon 35. He dominated the next gala held in Brno with his demolition of challenger Alex Lohore in the fight for the Oktagon middleweight championship belt. He totally outclassed the Frenchman after just two minutes of the first round and earned himself the performance of the night.
In an interview immediately after the fight, promoter Ondřej Novotný asked him about a possible defense of his belt at the end of the year in Prague’s O2 Arena against Karlos Vémolá. But Patrik Kincl obviously didn’t want to deal with his rival’s name on his day and wanted to enjoy the championship celebrations.
But Karlos Vemola took the situation into his own hands and entered the cage, where he took the microphone and challenged the newly crowned champion. But this did not please both Kinclova himself and especially the fans present, who drowned out his speech with deafening boos.
Karlos then said a few words to his rival as he left the cage, and he returned the favor. The celebration of the main actor of the evening was thus disrupted, which was certainly not pleasant for him.
Vemola disrupted the champion’s celebration, what did Kincl and promoter Novotny have to say?
Kincl returned to the uncomfortable situation after the tournament. “He embarrassed himself the most in the finals,” he said at the post-match press conference about Terminator. “I don’t want to comment on it, ” he said, “but I’m not going to comment on it.
Oktagon promoter Ondrej Novotny also commented on the event at the press conference. “I’m not sorry,” Novotny said when asked by a reporter if he was sorry for disrupting Kinclova’s party. “I respected Patrick’s wishes and everything else is a story that is still developing in some way,” the promoter said.
“In the end, it will benefit both of them in the future,” he explained. “Patrik has won a large number of fans to his side who will condemn the act, while Karlos, on the other hand, has solidified his fan base,” he described.
“It was a perfect storm that you rarely see,” he praised the champion’s performance. “But it’s a fight the whole country wants to see and I think Patrik in his form must want to see it too,” he confirmed the organisation’s plans.
