Unpleasant news for Ondrej Novotny and the whole Oktagon. A new organization called Real Fight Arena (RFA) has been created and it has big ambitions. Moreover, it has managed to get the rising star Leo Brichta under its wing.
In response to the formation of the RFA, Novotny said that the new brand is not completely fair in the market. Overall, he didn’t find too many positives about it.
Much was made of the fact that RFA representatives were supposed to go around and contact Octagon fighters without contacting the Octagon or the fighters’ agents directly. Karlos Vémola also addressed this fact in his livestream.
He constantly faced questions about whether the new organization had contacted him. “Let them contact me maybe in a year, let’s see what they create. I’m honestly rooting for them, but that I would fly madly to a new organization for more money? I don’t think so. I don’t know them, I don’t even know who they are,” the Terminator let slip.
The Olomouc native further stated that it doesn’t matter when his contract with Octagon ends. “I am not a fickle broom like, for example, Pirate. I will stand behind Oktagon as long as the organization stands behind me.”
Vémola, then, is glad for the emergence of competition. He knows that if competition goes up, so will all of MMA. “If there was only Slavia in football, nobody would enjoy football,” he said.
However, he is aware of one big fact. For a long time, only Octagon has held any standard in our country. So it will not be easy for the RFA.
