Vemola became interested in Pest, but for the champion, Terminator is a closed chapter. What about the fight with Attila?
Viktor Peshta challenged Karlos Vemola for a long time, but the fight hasn’t happened yet because the Terminator wasn’t interested in the second Czech in the UFC. But now the roles are reversed. What did the new champion say about a duel with Vemola or a possible fight with Attila Vegh?
Viktor Peshta challenged Karlos Vemola for a long time, but the fight hasn’t happened yet because the Terminator wasn’t interested in the second Czech in the UFC. But now the roles are reversed. What did the new champion say about a duel with Vemola or a possible fight with Attila Vegh?
The newest champion of the Octagon organization has challenged Karlos Vemola practically since his end in the UFC, that is, since 2017. But to no avail. The Terminator has constantly put Viktor Peshta down, saying he’s a nobody. Alternatively, he set nonsensical conditions.
But now the second Czech in the UFC holds the belt for the welterweight champion, which already interests Vemola. At least he admitted as much in his latest live social media broadcast.
“How excited am I for the fight with Pest? I’ll have some other important fights before that, but everything has its time and everything will come. Now he has the belt, so I’m interested. My preparation will lead from 84 through boxing to eating my way up to the heavier weights to take on Buday, Peshta and so on,” Vémola let slip.
But of course, everything will also depend on his health, and the promoters must also agree. However, the Terminator does not admit that the fight should not happen.
But Pest has a different opinion, who has wanted a duel with Terminator for several years. “It’s a closed topic for me now. I’m not interested in Vemola at the moment. If he wants the belt, he knows where to find me. So let him do something for it. But otherwise, I don’t give a shit about sending messages via social media.”
Also in play could be a possible fight with Attila Vegh, who the newly crowned welterweight champion has also challenged in the past. However, that doesn’t seem too realistic.
Moreover, Peshta doesn’t want to fight someone who has no sporting motivation. He wants to compete with hungry opponents. He is worried that if he wins, people might question the victory, saying that Attila came just for the money.
“If his only motivation is money, I don’t care about the fight. If he wants to earn money for his retirement, it seems pointless to me. He’d better go with Vemola, he’ll be safer and earn more. Basically , easy money,” added Pesta.
There is also a lot of talk about the rematch with Stephan Pütz, who lost to the Czech fighter because the fight was stopped by a doctor. It is possible that the fight could happen at the end of the year, at OKTAGON 30.
