The match between Karlos Vemola and Otakar “Marp” Petrina is approaching. They will face each other in boxing in May, the tournament will be packed with excellent fights. But now the two rivals will face each other on the Karlos Show, where Marpa Vémola has invited himself. What did they say to each other and where did their rivalry come from?
Already on May 21, the Oktagon Underground tournament is scheduled to see countless outstanding fighters such as Pirat, Petrasek, Magard, Sivák, Peñáz, Lohoré, Pudilová and Boráros.
The highlight of the tournament, however, will be the long-awaited duel between Karlos Vémola and rapper Otakar Petřina aka Marp.
They don’t have much in common, but now Vémola invited him to his Karlos Show where they had the opportunity to talk. What was said?
“Everyone in MMA tells me they won’t get thrown by Vémola, but it always works out that way. Marpo says he’s ready for my pressure, but he can’t. Nobody is ready for a fighter as stupid as me. There’s just a desperate stubbornness and a desire to win.
You’d have to knock me out. And with all due respect, you’re not Attila Vegh, you don’t have that kind of reach and punch. And in the last five years, apart from some football matches, who have you ever knocked out? I have a harder head, I’m a bigger freak, I’m just going to rip that off,” Vémola said.
Among other things, their rivalry, or rather the beginning of it, was discussed. In fact, Vémola was once annoyed by a dig from Marpo, who mocked him for the way he boxed. In his own words, he wouldn’t comment on what he doesn’t understand, which is why he doesn’t criticize the music Marpo makes.
“If Karlos were to fight anyone who said he was a stupid boxer, he would wrestle himself to death,” Marpo said with a smile. Vémola also took a dig at his opponent, but also gave him advice on how he would train himself in his case.
“I choose partners who are like him, who don’t know much. There is no need for me to pair up with Vasek Ducar. I think he should train with wrestlers, whether they can box or not, because they will put the pressure on,” Vémola finished.
