Fight Night Challenge is asking for more and more last minute attention! Attila Végh lost his opponent and a replacement had to be found. This has been done and it is a big surprise. Patrik Kincl will also be at the event.

Patrik Kincl was supposed to face Samuel Kristofich for the Octagon middleweight title at the end of this year. The fight was supposed to be in the sold out O2 arena, but that was temporarily scrapped.

Due to coronavirus precautions, the fight was rescheduled for February. The Pirate didn’t want his preparation to go to waste, so he secured a very interesting fight at a boxing event called Fight Night Challenge.

The Slovakian fighter will challenge heavyweight Alex Cverna, who will have a significant weight advantage in the bout. There has been a lot of talk about how good of an idea this is and whether it will jeopardize the fight with Kinclo.

But now the odds are virtually even for the February fight. Attila Végh, who was supposed to complete the trilogy with Emanuel Newton, has lost his opponent.

But Newton tested positive for coronavirus and Végh will have another opponent.

“Attila says that together we are the strongest. That’s why we made it possible for the Fight Night Challenge tournament to have the right climax. We’ve made Patrik Kinclo available as an interesting replacement for Attila in place of Newton. Itwill also make the chances of the OKTAGON 31 main event more even, as both fighters will be boxing at the same time,” reads the announcement from the Oktagon organization.

Kincl, like the Pirate, will therefore face a heavier opponent in terms of weight, but the Czech fighter will have a qualitatively heavier opponent. Definitely something to watch!
