Two tournaments in one! Octagon responds to cancelled matches by dusting off Underground

OKTAGON 30 can no longer be called anything other than a cursed tournament. Coronavirus measures, injuries or the coronavirus itself not only took the O2 arena out of the game, but also several wrestlers. However, the organization is reacting promptly and very interestingly!

Just two days before the tournament, two more blows came. Tato Primera and Olga Rubin will not take part in OKTAGON 30, so Lucia Szabová and Emmanuel Dawa are without an opponent. Unfortunately, these are not the first matches the tournament has lost.

So the organization had to react quickly and definitely deserves a tip of the hat. It came up with an interesting and attractive solution, which has been resisted for a long time.

In addition to MMA fights, we will see fights under the rules of OKTAGON UNDERGROUND.

Although the promoters never wanted to do mixed tournaments where different disciplines would appear, but now there was no choice. So this is the first and quite possibly the last time we will see such a thing from Oktagon.

“Due to bad luck, injuries and positive incidents that have taken several matches out of the running, we have decided to make the fans happy and are adding matches to the tournament under the popular OKTAGON UNDERGROUND rules. The world of UNDERGROUND is graced with adrenaline-fueled small-gloves, no takedowns and the most seasoned fighters from the stance,” reads the organization’s announcement.
