The defeat to Patrik Kinclo was a tough one, because Karlos Vémola never made it clear in public that he was counting on the fact that he could go out a loser. He took it to the hilt from many fans, but he didn’t want to rest.

Shortly after the tournament, he told the promoters of Oktagon for another fight and they obliged. Vémola fought in Štvanici, defeated Lucas Alsina and was able to get a staredown with Pavel Langer, with whom he will go for the title in Bratislava.

Langer himself probably didn’t believe he could get such a fight just a few months ago, but he will in early October. What can we expect from him? That’s what Vémola tried to explain in an interview with Max MMA.

“This will be a completely different fight, Kincl is half the guy against Langer. I think Langer will use a completely different disposition.

Langer will be the bigger, stronger fighter, but I will have to fight with my smarts and experience, especially to beat him with that speed, speed today produces power, it always has,“ said Terminator, who would like to end his rich career soon.

“He’s going to be very strong and a little stable in certain positions and we’re preparing for that. I’ve got a great team: I train with Misha Martinek, who’s always been strong, I train with Dan Skvor, who did beat him, it’s not that long ago. (…)

Now Mach Muradov from Uzbekistan is coming back, he also beat Langer. So I have a great team of people around me and we are working one hundred and ten percent,” he added.
