The best card in the history of the Octagon? Quite possibly. OKTAGON 36 will offer a truly spectacular show. One of the most exciting fights will be a duel between two former title challengers and UFC veterans. How do Leandro Silva and Bojan Velickovic see their fight?

Kozma beat both of them, but they both got him in trouble

One of the most exciting and biggest fights in Octagon history. Two UFC veterans, who were supposed to be a great challenge for champion David Kozma, face off against each other. Leandro Silva wasn’t far from finishing the king of the welterweight division.

He put on a great performance in a memorable five-round brawl that Kozma won on points. The champion’s face looked like a little kid’s coloring book after the fight. The nickname “The Pink Panther” was more fitting than ever.

Bojan Velickovic, who has also beaten Jiri Prochazka in the past, could and should have been an even bigger challenge. Just like Apollo, the Serb got Kozma in trouble. With a great highkick he forced him to “grind” hard, but he made a bad decision, which he might regret later.

Kozma defeated Velickovic in the fourth round by TKO. And when the champion compared the two fights, he was clear about their quality. Apollo was a much tougher opponent than Velickovic. Now he’ll be looking to prove it in a rematch.

Both Apollo and Velickovic respect each other, believe in an attractive fight

The sold-out Festhalle has a lot to look forward to. Both UFC veterans hope so too, treating each other with great respect and complimenting each other before the fight.

“I think my opponent is a really good and very experienced fighter,” Apollo let slip. “I am looking forward to our fight very much. It will be a test of my own abilities. We both like to wrestle standing up. I believe it will be an attractive fight for the fans.”

Velickovic admitted, among other things, that he had targeted a quick comeback after his UFC exit, but he liked the Octagon so much that he backed off his goal. “My impressions are only getting better with each tournament. I’ m really enjoying the Octagon and now my main focus is on the fight with Apollo,” admitted the Serb.

However, if the offer came, he probably wouldn’t refuse it. Silva, however, is in no hurry to return to the UFC either. “I don’t make plans for the future because I don’t have control over it. It’s nice to say I’m going to do this, I’m going to be that, but the truth is we’re just human beings and we have no control over anything in the future,” the Brazilian said.

Apollo, however, is taking the UFC as a great experience. He believes he could have shown even more. However, he admits he wasn’t mentally prepared for such a challenge.
