There’s a difference between having and not having a million. Lohore is a tough opponent, but I can beat him, Kozma believes

He had a total of four months to recover and prepare. And since the promoters, and not the lottery, decided the composition of the first round, the Czech fighter got some relief in the form of the easiest opponent on paper.

But only the easiest on paper. Lukasz Siwiec went into the fight as a clear underdog, but he wanted to cause a shock, to create a sensation and in Ostrava he was far from it.

The Polish fighter put on a great fight and came close to finishing Kozma. In the end he lost on split-decision, while if he had won, no one could have been surprised.

The Pink Panther was critical of his performance. And he didn’t fare well in the draw for the next round either, as he was literally left with Alex Lohoré, who went through to the quarterfinals via Samuel Kristofich. Da Killa Kid expects Kozma to take the fight to the ground, but he wants to end it before the limit.

Kozma believes in winning, money as a big motivation

“I don’t like to predict, but I know I’ll win. If Alex offers me a chance to end it, I’ll end it. But if it’s on points, it’ll be on points. I’m a points fighter,” David Kozma let his voice be heard on the MMA podcast, Flying Around the World.

“Alex is hard to end. We saw what he endured with Vemola. I’m going to push him, make the fight to win clearly on points,” added the former longtime welterweight king.

The Pink Panther says he feels he is in good shape and ready to win. Promoter Ondrej Novotny then couldn’t help but ask him if he is motivated by the finances that are in play. The answer was fairly predictable.

“Of course it’s a big package. This game is about a million crowns and there is a difference between having and not having a million. It’s definitely a motivation. A second child is on the way, I have to try,” Kozma concluded his chat with Novotny.
