Radek Roussal took the offer of the Oktagon organization at the last moment, but the fight will not take place, the reason is his tattoo on his right biceps, which bears the image of Adolf Hitler. But his gym has now come out with a statement saying that Roušal has been booked for removal for quite some time.
After Radek Roušal’s fight was announced, comments immediately started pouring in about him being a neo-Nazi and having a tattoo of Adolf Hitler on his right bicep.
The evening after, Oktagon issued a statement explaining that he had cancelled the fight and was unaware of the tattoo. Now his Muay Thai Brno gym has also come out with a statement.
“Most of you have probably noticed the withdrawal of the fighter Radek Roushal from the Oktagon 30 tournament.
Our gym is unequivocally opposed to any manifestations of racial or other discrimination and intolerance. People of all nationalities and skin colors meet here, and we cooperate with various non-profit organizations, including those dedicated to working with minorities. At the same time, we also lend a helping hand to those who can learn from their mistakes and errors,” the gym said on Instagram.
Roušal shared the text on his Instagram, adding that he has many friends among Roma, Italians and Yemenis.
The question is whether the removal of the tattoo will determine whether Roušal will ever get another chance in the organisation.
