The UFC might not even be the best choice for Kinc, as crazy as that might sound, said Octagon co-owner Neruda. Why?
Almost all Oktagon fans were looking forward to the long-awaited fight between Karlos Vemola and Patrik Kinclo. But unfortunately, the fight did not take place due to Vemola’s health problems. However, even before the actual cancellation of the fight, there was speculation about whether Kincl was headed to the UFC afterwards.
Almost all Oktagon fans were looking forward to the long-awaited fight between Karlos Vemola and Patrik Kinclo. But unfortunately, due to Vemola’s health problems, the fight did not take place. However, even before the actual cancellation of the fight, there was speculation about whether Kincl was headed to the UFC afterwards. Pavol Neruda has now explained that it might not have been the best choice.
When the news of Karlos Vemola being in the hospital became public, it was only a matter of time before the actual fight with Patrik Kincl was cancelled.
The latter was logically upset, in fact, in the video of the Octagon Face to Face he indicated that his biggest fear was that the fight would not take place due to injury.
In the video, it was also mentioned that there was a shakedown with the UFC in Kincl’s case, which Kincl subsequently explained was basically nothing and he certainly has no plans to change organizations.
“The UFC might not even be the best choice for Patrick, as crazy as that might sound. They already have such a huge base of fighters that he would be just one of many for them. He would be fighting in arenas where he would be a complete stranger to everyone.
I don’t know, obviously it’s a big dream for any fighter to go to the UFC, no question about it, but I think fighting in our biggest fights and especially in light of what I know and he may not know yet, what our plans are for 2023 and what arenas and what audiences he could fight in.
I don’t think the UFC is going to offer him that. So if I were Patrik, I wouldn’t make that decision if the offer came,“ Pavol Neruda told Jakub Stejskal’s YouTube channel Inspiro Podcast.
So the UFC is not a hot topic, but Kincl should make a definitive decision soon on which of Okatgon’s paths he will choose. And it would be a surprise if it means moving to welterweight.
