The rematch between Vemola and Attila is arranged! We still have to finalize it and find a suitable date, said Novotný
It’s been almost three years since the Match of the Century. Karlos Vémola fell to Attila Vegh and his dream of returning to the UFC was shattered. Végh hasn’t fought since then, but next year we’re in for a dream rematch! What did Ondrej Novotny have to say about it?
It’s been almost three years since the Match of the Century. Karlos Vémola fell to Attila Vegh and his dream of returning to the UFC was shattered. Végh hasn’t fought since then, but next year we’re in for a dream rematch! What did Ondrej Novotny have to say about it?
The fight took place at Oktagon 15 in November 2019. Attila Végh was a fairly big underdog, but he managed to shut down Karlos Vemola in the first round and celebrated one of the biggest wins of his career.
This fight introduced him to the wider public and Végh became a celebrity. But he hasn’t fought in MMA since. Now almost three years have passed and it seems that the dream rematch has been arranged. When will we see it?
“The sooner the better. More or less everything is already agreed. We still have to finalize it and find a suitable date. But we are really close,” said Ondřej Novotný in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
What does it mean? We will see the match next year. The only thing we are looking for is the best possible date, as the goal will be to get as many people as possible.
The option may be not only the O2 Arena or Štvanice, but also a football stadium, but the organization has not yet indicated any such move.
Let’s be surprised, but it is certain that Oktagon will break records again with this tournament and the tickets will disappear shortly after they go on sale.
