The most anticipated and biggest fight in the history of Czech MMA. This was the duel between Patrik Kincl and Karlos Vémola. Whoever expected an attractive fight must have been disappointed. The Terminator pushed the Inspector to the fence most of the time, but he couldn’t do anything there. He just cashed in.
Kincl wasn’t too keen on winning. All he had to do was defend well and throw punches. He made room for autographs from Vemola’s face and tactically controlled the fight perfectly. One judge saw him win 49-46, the other two 50-45.
The Inspector’s performance, however, infuriated the legend and friend of the Terminator. In an interview with iSport, Petr Knize got all fired up and went full on Kinclo. First of all, he criticized the former KSW fighter’s behavior, which he described as macho, and then he went into his performance.
“A champion is supposed to put on an adequate performance, not lean on the fence and then say he beat Carlos in a tomhletom and more or less mock him. For me, Karlos won that fight in the sense that he was creating and controlling it at the wire. The fact that the new rules are scoring points for poking your opponent at the net… Kincl should apologize for the most embarrassing fight of his career and say: It wasn’t a pretty game, but I nailed it. I apologize to the fans for being such a d**k, for wanting to make fun of Karlos, not just win properly,” says Knight.
Among other things, Monster is offended by the fact that it was a really expensive fight. For the money, he would have liked to see something completely different. A tough fight from start to finish. Karlos did his best, Kincl didn’t.
The Prince then believes that there is no one in the middleweight division who can threaten Kincl at the moment. He also described his performance against Samuel Kristofich as a tragedy. He would have liked to see Makhmud Muradov with him, but he is in the UFC.
“So I think I have to challenge him and beat him. I’m serious. Let’s go to the fight, for the money. I’m gonna smash his face in for that money. He’s supposed to be sprinkling ashes on his head, not bragging about how good his performance was and what a superstar he is. I’d kick him in the crotch for that,” he adds.
And that Kincl had his face bashed in by Vemola? He says he didn’t deliver any significant blows and it’s just a consequence of the fact that when someone gives you half an hour of hammering, your face just swells up.
