The middleweight champion of Octagon, the biggest domestic MMA organization, Patrik Kincl defends his belt for the second time at the end of December. After his successful win against Alex Lohore at September’s Oktagon 35 in Brno, he will face an epic rematch with Karlos Vemola at the end of the year.
Prague’s O2 Arena will witness another gala event called Oktagon 38, the main fight of which will be in the spirit of resolving a long-standing conflict. Karlos Vémola believes that the belt held by the champion Kincelo still belongs to him.
The champion Kincl is brimming with confidence ahead of the fight. Based on the course of their first duel. Vémola won that one, but his opponent is not ashamed of his performance.
The match went to the judges’ scorecards and especially in the last round Kincl prepared uncomfortable moments for his opponent.
He took to his social media to address the frequent queries he gets from his fans. They reportedly ask him about whether the current champion still has their first fight on his mind. Kincl, however, responds with complete calm and confidence.
“Due to the circumstances, I didn’t manage to leave my best performance out there then and still did an acceptable job,” he wrote on his Instagram. “I definitely could have done better, but it still wouldn’t have been half the performance it is now,” he entices his fans.
“Motivation level a billion and I’m ready to prove it on 30.12. at the O2 arena,” he feels determined and motivated. “So be there,” he promotes his fight. Will we see another victory for Vemola or will Patrik defend his championship belt?
