The Oktagon champions verbally sparred at the post-tournament press conference. You run away and then you cry, Paradeiser said. What did Keita say?
The two biggest talents in the Octagon? Quite possibly. They fought once before, but some time has passed since then and Rony Paradeiser would like to make up for that defeat. It’s Losene Keita who seems to be avoiding him and looking for other opponents. Now they both hold titles at different weights and after the OKTAGON 50 gala they verbally sparred at the press conference.

Oktagon 50: Ostrava
The two main draws of the OKTAGON 50 gala did not disappoint. Ronald Paradeiser defeated Ivan Buchinger in his third title shot to finally get his dream title, while his former conqueror and long-time rival Losene Keita brutally finished Niko Samsonidse for a change.
It’s been almost two years since their duel. Paradeiser was clearly Keita’s most evenly matched opponent to date. He’s come a long way since then, improved. He confirmed it with a win over Buchinger. He’s been challenging Black Panther for a long time, but without success.
Will we ever see them fight? We’ll see. However, after Saturday’s action in Ostrava, it’s a perfect match, since it’s two champions who had a lot to say at the post-tournament press conference.
Paradeiser and Keita delivered a verbal shootout
The Slovakian talent naturally responded, ” I beat the guys in the top 200, the guys in the top 400, so I see it on my side. We could have fought together tonight, but you didn’t want to. You went to the lower weight, you chose the easier way.”
Keita then said he liked the new lightweight champion, but asked him to self-reflect. Besides, he said his opponent Niko Samsonidse is one of the best featherweights in Europe. Paradeiser then said he deserved not only the bonus for the performance of the night, but also the title he won.
“The only thing I want is my lightweight belt back. Rony doesn’t deserve to be champion. I want my belt back. We can fight for it at the end of December. Let’s go for it. I’m ready,” Black Panther challenged his rival.
Rony understandably turned down a duel at the end of December: “You had your chance to fight me, you chose a featherweight who is lighter, which I think the promoters will confirm. For a year or however long you didn’t defend, you didn’t want to go there even though I kept challenging you. I was still number one, working hard, beating the best to win the title. He didn’t want to fight me, so now he can’t say if I deserve anything.”
There was also a comparison of the quality of the opponents. While Rony Paradeiser is sure that Ivan Buchinger is a better opponent than Niko Samsonidse, Losene Keita understandably downgrades Buchinger’s qualities by referring to his age.
