The domestic MMA scene has a new horse in its midst. The RFA organization has seen the light of day and plans to surpass Oktagon, which is a leader in domestic waters. There is also talk of overpaying fighters, which XFN did, however one of the owners has commented on this.

As of last week, there is one new horse on the Czech-Slovak scene, called RFA. And he certainly has no small goals, plus he has the capital to afford to pull fighters. One of them is Leo Brichta, who nevertheless still has a valid contract with Oktagon.

And that’s until the middle of next year, possibly for one fight. Promoter Ondrej Novotny doesn’t like the approach of the new organization, he called co-owner Boris Marhansky Lord Voldemort.

Some fans welcome this move by the new organization, others do not. However, there are whispers behind the scenes that the RFA will be overpaying its fighters, much like the XFN once did, which still owes many of them significant money in salaries to this day.

“We are not overpaying. The truth is that our strategy is that we want to promote our fighters as foreign fighters. That’s what we will focus on and that way we can raise their fees so that they are normal fees. It’s certainly nothing out of line. We have all our salaries set to fit within our budget.

So it’s not at all like we’re just shooting numbers. It’s all planned and calculated to make it work for us. But it’s true that some fighters have been paid very little money in other organizations. And we, if we give them a normal one, some may say it’s an overpayment, but I think it’s only an adequate amount that they deserve,” Marhansky told iSport.

He also added that the payout system will be fairer. A fighter will earn according to his score. The higher his score, the more he will earn. Moreover, he also spoke about bonuses, which we are not used to from all organizations.

“There will definitely be a bounty for fight of the night. But we won’t be scoring such a fight, it will be determined by the TV viewers and the audience in the hall who come to support their fighters… And we will have a third bonus, which will be fixed and will always go to charity. The fighter who wins this bonus will determine what the money will be used for,” he added.
