Baba Jaga was supposed to return to action in December. He was supposed to be featured on the main card of OKTAGON 29 against Tomas Bol. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
Václav Mikulášek fell down the stairs and took himself out of the game. However, he saved his dog, who wanted to jump down the stairs.
But Bolo doesn’t believe his story. “The first time he cancelled the game for health reasons, he had inflammation or something with his eyes, now a jumping dog?” he expressed to World MMA.
Together with his manager, he wanted to see Mikulas’ medical report, however, he didn’t get it.
And what did Baba Yaga say? “My conscience is clear, they gave me injections to thin the blood and strong painkillers. I was in pain, I was all swollen and my nose was constantly bleeding,” he responded on Instagram.
There were also speculations that Mikulášek wanted to pull out of the match as the tournament was moved from Ostrava to Brno. Shortly before falling down the stairs, he complained about the move in an interview.
He said it was nonsense. “When I cancelled the match in Brno, I lost some 240-250 thousand CZK. If I were to count Ostrava, it’s much more. You probably understand that as a fighter who doesn’t do private events, I needed the money a lot,” Mikulášek revealed.
The fall down the stairs cost him dearly. And that someone doesn’t believe him? He’s not too concerned about that, he just doesn’t understand why it’s only now being addressed. He says he will gladly submit the medical report to anyone who asks for it.
