The absence of Kinclo in Gamechanger? More chances for me! The less good fighters there are, the better, said Kozma
David Kozma already knows his opponent for the Tipsport Gamechanger, in which he will face Lukasz Siwiec from Poland. However, he can no longer face his friend Patrik Kinclo in the pyramid, who withdrew for a rematch with Karlos Vemola. What did the Pink Panther say?
Brito eventually withdrew though, as did Patrik Kincl, who opted instead for a rematch with Karlos Vemola as he would like to finally end this chapter.
Kozma lost two big competitors and is currently the biggest favourite for the project together with John Hathaway. Moreover, he knows his first opponent, which will be Lukasz Siwiec. What is his opinion on Kinclo’s withdrawal?
“I am happy for the reason that we know each other and we are friends and we train together. Also, he is a good fighter, so the less good fighters there are, the better. The more chances for me,” said on his YouTube channel.
Of course, Kincl himself is well aware that the move may not work out for the best. After all, Vemola’s health is not 100 percent and it is possible that the fight will not happen after all.
“I hope the fight will finally happen. Hopefully neither of them will get hurt. Hopefully everything will be all right. I think I’ve said it before, I really see it fifty-fifty. Both of them have moved on since that first fight. Kincl has put on a lot of muscle.
He’s strong, so he’s going to be tough to throw, but on the other hand, it takes something away from his physicality. That five-round fight, he may not be completely out of breath. I see it 50-50 though. I’ll definitely be rooting for Patrick.
We train together and we’re friends, so I’m naturally leaning towards his side, but I wouldn’t bet unless there were good odds. It’s really 50-50,” Kozma added.
