Oktagon MMA has had a very successful Oktagon 43 tournament in Prague’s O2 Arena, after which the promoters were certainly wringing their hands. The gala evening, in which fans were treated to the most anticipated rematch of the domestic scene between Patrik Kinclo and Karlos Vemola, shattered many records.
Oktagon has permanently positioned itself as one of the world’s top organizations, with Ondrej Novotny, in a recent interview with Kaocko.cz, reveling that his organization is doing better numbers than overseas giants Bellator or the PFL. In the same interview he then suggested that there was still room to grow, which has now only been confirmed.
In fact, he posted a poston Oktagon’s Instagram in which he gave away quite a coup. “For the first time in history, we’re going to do two tournaments in two days,” Novotny said in the posted video.
“Patience Stvanice will be added to the sale on Sunday or Monday,” he encouraged fans to buy tickets. One of the most popular tournaments of the year will be offered in a two-course menu.
The traditional Saturday tournament, which takes place on July 29, will be joined by the Friday one, thanks to the huge demand from fans or fighters to be at this iconic gala.
Thus, for the first time in history, following the example of Asian organizations such as RIZIN or ONE, the Oktagon organization has decided to hold two tournaments in two days. No fights have been announced yet, but we can already expect one of the biggest MMA experiences of the year.
