Karlos Vémola is back after more than a year, he knocked out Poland’s Pasternak in the first round
For more than a year, we have been waiting for the return of the most famous fighter of the domestic scene Karlos Vemola, who has been plagued by a lingering shoulder injury. After defeating singer Marko in a controversial boxing match a fortnight ago, he returned to a discipline that is all his own.
In a bout that marked his return to the cage, he faced experienced Polish fighter Michal Pasternak. Many martial arts fans were curious to see how the Czech Terminator would fare in his return against a Pole with a height advantage and a black belt in BJJ.
But Vemola left no one in doubt and came back in style. He threw his bigger rival to the ground after less than a minute and wrung him out for 3 minutes before tightening it up for an arm triangle. He thus notched up 32 wins in his already prolific career.
In a post-fight interview, he challenged Germany’s Terminator Puetz
In a post-fight interview right inside the Octagon, he managed to outline his future plans and challenge their number one welterweight in front of the German crowd. This is none other than the highly experienced fighter who has already made his appearance in the Octagon in an unsuccessful title fight with Viktor Peseta.
“I heard you have a fighter in Germany called Terminator,” he replied to the moderator’s question about what his future may bring. He first thanked the German audience for the great atmosphere.
“I want to prove that there is only one king and one Terminator in the Octagon,” he challenged Stephan Pütz. When asked if the German audience will see their fight in October, when the next tournament in Frankfurt will take place, he answered unequivocally. “There’s nothing to wait for, there’s the Fourth of July,” he hinted at a possible main match of the most popular tournament of the year.
Will we see an attractive duel between two machines like in Terminator 2?
