Terminator crash coincidence? No! Pirate posted a video from the training, Vemola paid for the overdrilled combination
It’s been a few days, yet the moment delivered by Samuel Krištofič still resonates through the Czechoslovak MMA scene. Karlos Vémola fell in the first round. According to some individuals, it was a coincidence. But the Pirate denies it. That’s why he published a video from the training.
It’s been a few days, yet the moment delivered by Samuel Krištofič still resonates through the Czechoslovak MMA scene. Karlos Vemola fell in the first round. According to some individuals, it was a coincidence. But the Pirate denies it. That’s why he published a video from the training.
Vemola fell in the last tournament of the year
He was not believed by bookmakers, fans, experts or other fighters in the Oktagon. But he believed in himself and that turned out to be the most important thing. Karlos Vemola won many fights by beating people in the head before even entering the cage.
But that wasn’t the case for Kristofic. He was not afraid of anything. He didn’t doubt himself even despite the two defeats he suffered in his last two fights. He set a clear goal in his head and went hard after it.
At 1:48 of the first round, the Pirate became only the second man to knock out Vemola. The first was his compatriot Attila Végh in the Match of the Century in 2019… The Pirate, however, did it faster than his more famous compatriot.
The pirate denies that it was a coincidence
Samuel Kristofic worked hard for his fight with Karlos Vemola. Yet many people didn’t believe him. Everyone questioned his defense against takedowns in particular. However, the Slovakian fighter conducted himself in the fight in such a way that the Terminator didn’t get anything at all.
The Pirate had good movement, and he read all of Vemola’s cues and attempts well. Then he landed a punch of his own that dropped the Czech native. We’ve never seen him finished this hard before.
And that was a coincidence? Unfortunately, Krištofič has to read such comments now and then. That’s why he decided to post a video from the training session, which clearly proves that it was an overdrilled affair, no lucky punch.
“Now I will show you that what happened with Karlos was not an accident, but a targeted thing. I’m going to show you a simulation from the training session where we practiced it. Boris throws out a back punch, which I take with a front hook and close with a back cross,” Pirat describes the video on social media.
It is worth mentioning that thanks to the win, the Slovak fighter has soared in the world rankings almost the highest in his career. He is currently ranked 105th in the welterweight division, his highest position was 102nd. Vemola, on the other hand, has seen a huge drop, falling out of the top 100 for the first time in years.
