Vaclav Sivak shines in kickboxing, he has a professional record of 18: 0 and recently won the WAKO PRO world title. What is his current future?
After his last fight, Sivák said that people in the Czech Republic don’t respect him, so he wants to fight abroad. The reason was that he was offered fights in restaurants or shopping malls, which is not something he is interested in.
Sivák did have two interesting offers from the domestic scene, from Oktagon and RFA. Manager Adrian Smrcka had talks with both organizations and mentioned that conditions were not an issue, but nothing could be planned at the moment due to the emergency.
So his travels are going abroad. “We are negotiating for February 2022 in Ekaterinburg. Here we are in specific negotiations for a specific tournament, date and opponents. According to the covid, we will continue to negotiate. The goal is clear. Russia Yekaterinburg, Abu Dhabi Enfusion, ONE Championship in Singapore and defend the WAKO PRO title.
This is shaping up to be the fights for next year. If we can arrange a title defence for the Czech crowd, we will of course be happy to have Vasek fight at home. But it has to be a lucrative offer and it has to be an adequate opponent and environment,” said Smrčka in an interview with Kaocko.
Smrčka also spoke about finances, the best of the offers was for 10 thousand euros per fight and another 5 thousand for a win. And that is certainly not small money considering the Czech environment. But it has to be said that much of the money is invested back into preparation.
