Rysavy demands a rematch with Lengal! If he hadn’t broken my jaw, I dare say I would have ended his, he said
Karol Rysavy planned to show his qualities in the new Fabriq MMA organization and confirm that he would like to fight for the title in the Octagon again soon. However, he won’t remember the fight with Vladimir Lengal well, as he broke his jaw. Now Bomby outlined his view on the fight.
Karol Rysavy took on Vladimir Lengal in the main event of the first Fabriq MMA tournament. Lengal took the fight at the last minute, but was still happy in the end.
He landed a precise and hard punch on Rysavy, and it was immediately clear that there would be no follow-up. The Slovakian had to go to the hospital and the verdict was not positive.
Rysavy had a broken jaw, which means he will be taking a long rest from his favourite sport. He has now commented back on the fight.
“Yes, I lost. And we don’t even need to talk about how stylishly it happened. I only landed one single punch in the whole fight… For my opponent to have over two hundred stand-up fights, I felt great,” Rysavy said on the On Deck podcast.
Although he felt good, he ultimately had to bow down to his opponent. However, Rysavy wasn’t shut down, just injured. If his jaw hadn’t cracked, the fight would have continued.
“The elbow didn’t turn me off, I wasn’t even naked. I just found I couldn’t bite after it. At that point, I was wondering what to do to make sure it didn’t accidentally get worse…,” he said.
He then added that he would like to see a rematch in the future. Quite often this is done when one of the wrestlers gets injured and the match had no clear winner by then.
“I would be happy if we could revisit this in the future. I know I’m better as an MMA fighter, that’s for sure. If he hadn’t broken my jaw, I dare say I would have ended his,” he finished.
