RFA Promoter Marhansky: I don’t understand why Novotny needs to tell and spread such lies. We don’t need to fight him

When RFA entered the domestic market, it clearly declared that it wanted to become a leader. More than a year has passed since then, and so far all indications are that expectations were rather inflated. Moreover, the promoters of RFA and Oktagon often poke fun at each other with different statements. This time, however, Ondrej Novotny did not tell his fans the complete truth.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the biggest MMA organization is undoubtedly Oktagon. At the end of 2021 a new organization came to swirl the waters, namely RFA.

Since then, many fighters of the domestic number one began to leave for the second one, and of course, the promoters of Oktagon didn’t like it.

Now the RFA has had several tournaments and it’s clear that the goals were too high. The organization doesn’t have very good viewership numbers and the arenas aren’t bursting at the seams either, although they aren’t very big either.

That’s also why there are no more transfers and on the contrary, for example, Miroslav Broz has returned to the Octagon. Although the promoter Ondrej Novotny talks about not being interested in RFA, he still says something about it from time to time.

“There was a matchmaker who used to be a friend of ours, then he took us everywhere and now he’s not there anymore either. I don’t know what the boys did to each other.

Maybe it was the first good decision, because when you’re sitting next to somebody in a press conference asking for an unreasonable amount of money, and your matchmaker is helping them out and saying, ‘Oh yeah, let’s make the game. The guys deserve nonsense for this. It’s all about Boris breaking the piggy bank,” so I guess you’re not exactly on the same page.

Anyway, Erik Brezovsky’s not even there anymore. I’m getting more and more reports,” he said on his MMA show, “Flight Through the World. These words were supposed to be about Martin Wodecki, but he quickly reacted.

“I don’t know about quitting. I have a contract with Boris. I can’t say for how long, but we have a contract that’s valid… If someone knows more than Boris, who is the head, or if someone from another organization is still managing us and knows before, then great and congratulations,”he said on the RFA stream.

But RFA promoter Boris Marhansky, who seems more moderate than Novotny in various statements, also spoke out, but at times it can come across as forceful.

“I don’t understand why Novotny needs to tell and spread such lies. I don’t know if he enjoys it. It’s probably genetically determined and he needs it. We don’t need to fight him. We concentrate on our own tournaments,” Marhansky said.
