RFA plans to help Bricht fight the Octagon! He wants to resolve the situation with lawyers
Leo Brichta’s name has been one of the most talked about on the domestic scene in recent weeks. This is due to the introduction of the RFA organization that was supposed to drag him to the Octagon. However, Ondrej Novotny, the number one promoter in the market, says Brichta is under contract until the summer of 2023 and disagrees with the RFA’s move.
The announcement of the new RFA organization brought with it many negatives. The main one being the pulling of Leo Brichta from the market leader, Oktagon.
The problem is that Brichta has a one-fight contract in the Octagon, possibly until next summer. But the first RFA tournament will come sooner.
So the new organization logically wants Brichta to fight in the Octagon as soon as possible and then he would only be its fighter. But the Octagon sees it differently, as Brichta is a fan favorite and was counted on.
“We are a big company that employs dozens of people and has some commitments. We’ve built something, we’ve invested something. We can’t say, screw it. I told him that if he makes this move, it’s no longer an Ondra – Leo position, it’s a Leo – OKTAGON position. Then I can’t help him, I told him that up front,” Novotný told Kaocko.
RFA is so afraid that Oktagon will bully Brichta and won’t let him fight until the end of his contract. He’s certainly not the only fighter who will be dealing with a similar issue either.
“We will definitely stand up for him (Leo). There are multiple things in dispute that I can’t divulge because they will eventually be handled by lawyers if there is a challenge from the other organization. But if they want to do him wrong and let him stand for maybe two years, we will definitely address that and help him,” the co-owner of the RFA organisation revealed to iSport.
