Puma and Neymar JR. show the future of football
Global brand PUMA has introduced the next generation of FUTURE kicks, synonymous with innovation and advanced technology. They continue to push the boundaries of what else can be done on the pitch and look stylish while doing it.
The all-new design of the new FUTURE has been engineered for maximum mobility. They feature the innovative FUZIONFIT360 double knit upper and PUMA’s exclusive PWRTAPE technology, which makes them perfectly adapt to the foot and fit like a glove. This allows the player to fully concentrate on driving the opponent crazy – with or without laces.
“The new PWRTAPE technology is an amazing innovation. It was introduced based on measured data about the forces acting on the upper of the boots during different movements of the footballer, such as acceleration, running, ball handling or kicking,” said Florian Nemetz, Senior Product Manager for Football Equipment at Teamsport Footwear.
“PWRTAPE is built into the upper in a wave-shape and provides targeted support in particularly stressed zones. As a result, our athletes can rely on ideal support and perfect foot fixation and can move on the field without any restrictions.”
To allow athletes to exercise their creativity without limitations, the FUTURE soccer shoes also feature 3D applications on the main contact zones to improve ball possession and control in passing, tackling and finishing. And another new enhancement to the FUTURE is the all-new split sole developed to provide maximum traction and stability.
The Dual-Density Motion System sole consists of a PEBAX system in the heel area for stability and responsive energy transfer, and a flexible TPU system in the forefoot to improve flexibility during abrupt changes in direction. In addition, the lightweight Nano Grip insole inside the shoe minimizes foot slippage inside the shoe and allows full energy transfer during explosive movements.
“FUTURE continues to evolve. I need kicks that I feel comfortable in and that allow me to move quickly in all directions. The new FUTURE adapts well and gives me better support for quick movements with the ball, so nothing restricts me when I play,” said Neymar Jr.
“The premiere of these new kicks is also a special moment because we are looking to the future – FUTURE – of football and giving everyone the opportunity to take part in the FUTURE challenge and become a member of the PUMA family and an ambassador for the brand.”
The new FUTURE Women’s cut has been designed specifically for women. The volume and instep height are based on the anatomical shape of the female foot, allowing female players to perform to their full potential.
The FUTURE model will be used by Neymar Jr, Julia Gross, Dzsenifer Marozsán and James Maddison. In the interest of a sustainable future, the FUTURE upper contains at least 30% recycled materials.
The PUMA FUTURE Supercharge edition sneakers will be available in the Czech Republic from January 19 at Lionsport, Sportisimo, 11 Teamsport, Gazza sport, Alza.cz, Sportvision, AD Sport and puma.com.
